Salary Transparency for Iranian Professionals

Iran Salery set out to do something the Iranian job market had long avoided: talk openly about pay. The platform brings together salary data shared by professionals across industries and pairs it with job listings, giving both candidates and employers a clearer view of what roles are actually worth. Launching in 2017, the team faced a familiar chicken-and-egg problem. The product only works when people are willing to share their own salary information, and that only happens when they trust the platform. Iran Salery needed a foundation that made contributing feel safe, browsing feel useful, and the whole experience feel credible from the very first visit. Webrokh joined the project as a service design and consulting partner during this early shaping phase. Our work centered on understanding how Iranian professionals actually think about salary, designing a contribution flow that didn't feel intrusive, and structuring the data so that searches by role, industry, or seniority returned answers people could rely on — leaving the team with a product foundation ready to grow alongside its community.
